Foodie Finds: Hot Roast Company

On the High Street in Fort William, just a few steps from the weary hiker statue in Gordon Square which marks the northern end of the West Highland Way, you’ll find The Hot Roast Company.

Weary hiker or no, you’ll find the food is delicious. Those namesake hot rolls might be filled with roast pork, apples, and stuffing, or turkey and cranberry sauce. There are selections for vegetarians too, along with soups, tea, and a variety of other items. You can sit in the small restaurant, or have your food to take away -- either way, you’ll receive not only good food, but, in my experience across several visits in cold and snowy winter months, one of the kindest and most cheerful welcomes to be had anywhere in the Highlands.
